5031 - Pair of Chinese Jardinieres

An elegant pair of underglaze blue-white Chinese Jardinieres with matching saucer, decorated in asymmetrical fashion with large spray of peonies, and a small peony on the reverse; the saucer with matching design. Both the pot and the saucer are with crenulated top rim. The pieces date from the 19th or 20th century.
They were purchased by our gallery in 1970 as store decoration. Both pieces are in fine condition. Height: 7 3/4 inches. Diameter at top: 10 1/2 inches.
