About China coast

Elisabeth is the owner of The China Coast. She is an appraiser (ASA, ISA CAPP) specializing in Asian art and antiques, an independent consultant for and a dealer in Asian art.

Born in Vienna, Austria, Elisabeth studied law. She moved to Thailand where her involvement in and love for Asian art started instantaneously. She exported Asian art to the United States, and eventually opened an Asian art gallery in Washington, D.C.’s historic Georgetown district. After many successful years in Washington,D.C., Elisabeth moved to Austin, Texas passionately continuing her work. She frequently travels for her appraisal work and on behalf of her clients, to find interesting and unusual pieces.
